Prominent social worker, education innovator and environmental campaigner Sonam Wangchuk has been discharged from Medanta Hospital after making a full recovery from health complications caused by his prolonged hunger strike. Doctors confirmed that his condition improved steadily under medical care, and he was declared fit to return home.

Wangchuk was admitted to the hospital after his health worsened during the extended fast. Throughout his stay, a team of doctors closely monitored his condition and provided the necessary treatment. Following a positive recovery, medical specialists approved his discharge.

After leaving the hospital, Wangchuk said he would visit Rajghat in New Delhi to pay his respects to Mahatma Gandhi before travelling back to Ladakh. The announcement brought relief to his supporters, many of whom had been anxiously following updates on his health.
